No more judging on physical appearance

The board for the competition is now made up of many past winners who felt that they should move the competition in a different direction.

I don't really care what they do to a competition I have never watched and will likely never watch, but it seems like they made some necessary changes given recent events.

My thing is simply that them saying that they aren't judging them on their appearance anymore is a lie. How many over weight contestants are there? How many "unattractive" contestants are there? While they can act like this is a move from judging on looks the reality is the whole contest is built around it and it's not changing, and frankly if you have ever talked to people who do these contests you know that they like being in the "beautiful people" club that comes with being a pageant contestant.

Now you could argue it is a move from being sex objects, but it's still all about their appearances.
