Still doesn't excuse the conspiracy.  Besides, had they backed him, he probably wins.  That election was all about going against the status quo and anti-establishment......as much as everyone wants to make it about something else.  The fact is, the DNC had their own anti-establishment candidate, and they blew it.  No one's fault but their own.
