There is a whole wave of potential voters who dont vote for similar reasons that I listed. Its not going to get better, and its not "the peoples" fault. Its too much corruption and it gets so confusing to some people so they withdraw totally. I grew up in an area who had a lot of corruption in local politics. Its a massive tun off.
On a side note, I seem to remember reading an article a loooong time ago that predicted celebrities will eventually take over politics. Celebrities have a lot of money, resources and fans. They also usually talk a lot about politics. I figure its very realistic to think that this will happen.
There are specific examples out there that "Donald Trump being president" has been a specific joke for decades. I recall the jokes 20 or so years ago were that someday Donald Trump or Hulk Hogan would be president.
