There are lots of legitimate reasons to bash Marvin. His pass defense is not one of them.
I can us being 2nd in TDs allowed. Teams dinked and dunked on us, till the field shrunk in the redzone and we defended the pass pretty well resulting in FGs. Which goes back to why can't we stop worrying about the big play over the top and tighten up the coverage the entire length of the field?
