Well he is old. Also, they're not running "Peyton's offense" this year. Kubiak installed his offense and is calling the shots.

The transition hasn't been smooth from what I've heard. If they planned on giving it one last year with Peyton, they should at least allow him to do what he's comfortable with. If it's Kubiak's show now, they should've just moved on without Peyton.

Of course, Kubiak is Elway's boy. They came in together with the Broncos as players in '83, and Kubiak was the Broncos OC and QB coach for Elway's super bowl wins. It feels like Elway forced a marriage that won't work.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
