We already know that speculation by some is that it's Marvin himself putting the rumor out there both times.

If Mike hasn't actually told Marvin that it's his decision, then MAYBE, just maybe, he'll get tired of Marvin making up his own rules and floating these rumors out there for whatever reason. 

I know I'm probably grasping at straws, but Lap's question did make me wonder...and hell, grasping at straws is all we have. 

I hope Lap's right.....and I think Lap hopes Lap is right.  He didn't sound very enthused when he made that revelation.
