Right, that's my point.  People are uncomfortable with being told that pedophiles who aren't raping children exist.  The only pedophiles they want the media to report are the ones who abused children, and that's why people seem to have this notion that people who are attracted to children are nothing but out of control rapists when in reality the odds are someone you know and like is harboring feelings but not acting upon them.

This is one of those inconvenient truths, and people just don't like to be told pedophiles are anything but 100% wrong, black and white monsters.
