While the defense as a whole didn’t live up to their early-season hype, much of that was due to a linebacking corps that gave up more yards in coverage than any other in the NFL. Rookie Jessie Bates looks like he’ll be a stud in Cincinnati for a while after allowing a passer rating of only 59.9 in his coverage this year.

Bates rocks, i wanted him in every one of my mock drafts in the 3rd and i only thought he would fall that far cause of his tackling but he was so much better in this than i thought he would be this year. Great pick. Also think with a better DC and LB coach with some added talent in the LB group we can get back to being not only a decent Defense but a great one.

But they have to make the right moves, we will see.
