Just so one thing is clear

So you approve of $55B in foreign aid, but can't approve $5B for national security? Shocked
Do you not see the irony of this? $55B what building a wall has been estimated at, cut the aid by the amount Trump wants, but they are not willing to compromise at all, so why should he?

Neb already made the most important point regarding this--as far as managing our southern border, we get far more border control value from foreign aid than concrete barriers.  Skeptical Americans will discover this if Guatemala and the Honduras crash.

So that is a false choice between foreign aid and national security.  National security is now at greater risk because of Trump's intransigence.

Trump should be willing to compromise because he is charged with the welfare of the entire nation, not just Ann Coulter's followers. Dems--and Republican leaders--have shown willingness to compromise. It has gotten them nowhere. Now they must hold their ground until the Senate comes to its senses and they can pass a veto proof budget.

Long history of this already.
