And as I said before, I don't think the Del Rio thing was ever very serious, which is likely why they only spoke on the phone.

Yeah, Grantham used the Bengals as leverage, and Capers & Del Rio were able to quickly decide they'd rather not coach this year than coach for the Bengals. This isn't necessarily directed at you, but I don't get why people are so quick to make excuses for the Bengals not being about to attract a DC. It was widely reported that the Bengals were the least attractive head coaching position this offseason. It's only logical that the DC position would be seen the same way.
