The right's obsession with AOC

FOX often seem to have one to multiple AOC stories each day, including "controversies" that are none (they once proudly found some Venezuelan immigrant that would slam her) and tagging her socialism to dictatorships and whatnot.

It saddens me that I have to repeat this, but here goes.  The media anointed AOC the moment she won her primary.  Sure, it's a compelling news story, young woman beats long term incumbent in primary.  She was then all over the news for several months.  Then her more extreme views began to become known.  At this point the GOP and right leaning press realize she could be a powerful tool to use against the Dems.  From this point forward they make efforts to paint her as the face of the Democratic party, as "the future" of that party.  While this is politically savvy on their part that's not really the point I'm getting at here.  Yes, the right has now latched on to her and runs more stories about her than the left or middle of the road (what few exist) outlets.  This would never have happened if she wasn't exhorted by the left leaning sites from the moment she won her primary.

TLBig GrinR version, the left created AOC and the right is now using her against them.
