Paul Brown and Vince Lombardi basically invented modern blocking techniques. Remember how Paul used to draft offensive linemen first in Cleveland and then in Cincinnati? First, he valued intellect above all because line play is hard! Blocking is intellectual, not just physical. Timing is part of it too.
