1. Just because he was found "not guilty" that does not mean he was innocent. It just means the state could not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt. But it certainly clears him to pursue his NFL career.
2. If we sign him it would be just like any other undrafted free agent. He gets a chance to come to camp and make the team on a rookie minimum contract. I don't see any other team giving him a better deal.
3. Cedric Benson was out of the NFL when he was acquitted of his criminal charges and swooped in quickly to sign him. Of course he was a much higher profile player than Oakman.
