Spend smart, not big IMO. The Bengals have enough holes to fill that they should be taking whatever they've allocated for FA to spread across several positions rather than blow it all on one guy. Yes, that one guy tends to be a much "sexier" signing that'll get people talking, but I'm not sure there's a single guy out there in FA that's going to make the same amount of difference that 3-4 guys in the next tier down will.

You responded to my comment, but what you are saying has nothing to do with what I said.

I still don't know why anyone argues about spending big in free agency when we are talking about the Bengals, who have never spent big on other teams players.

Now, the Bengals have over spent on their own players, and that's no better than over spending on someone else's.
