For a full season. He was interim dc for like 8 games. That’s it. He was the chosen dc for the bengals after like 4 others passed on the job.

Every DC who ever lived was never a coordinator in the NFL until he was. Fortunately, reality, unlike you, will not decide his fate ahead of time.
I don't know what he'll ultimately do but having the players buying is a good step one. And if they're playing well in practice, call that a good step two.
