It's amusing and frustrating.  Almost seems like some sort of Chris Farley SNL skit.

Yep.  Enthusiam and acting like a doofus when trying to listen to the game are two things.

He's just not a professional at it and regularly makes the "homer" highlight reels.

Hence why it was unprofessional to do what he did in that Gresham situation as well.
