Have any of you ever worked for a union? This is how it works. You negotiate for a contract. If you don’t like that one, you can negotiate for a new one, depending on terms and such. The original contract was $15/hr based on 40 hour work week. Turns out that doesn’t work since they routinely work more than 40 hours, not a hard thing to correct. I can guarantee you Bernie is on the side of the staff and is more than happy to compensate them appropriately. Quick, tell me another campaign paying their field staff anywhere near the amount and benefits that the Sanders campaign is. Within a week or two they’ll get the pay raise and the media won’t make a peep about that.
