If Clinton matches his visits to those states in the final 100 days, she is likely President today. Not sure which, but it was either bad campaign choices, or she just physically couldn't keep up with that much travel. Clinton ended up visiting only 37 States (and DC) to Trump's 45 States (and DC). She spent way more time on fundraising instead (350+ fundraisers to Trump's 50-60 according to ABC).
Interesting fact: Neither Trump nor Clinton visited Idaho, Wyoming, Hawaii, or Alaska.
Also didn't help that Clinton couldn't get the black vote to turn out. (Went from 66.6% turnout in 2012 to 59.6% in 2016.)
I think Texas, Mississippi and Alabama would have been a waste of time for Hillary. New York and CA for Trump. And I don't think she could have kept pace with Trump.
One big thing in Trump's favor were the RALLIES, which attracted more attention than "fundraisers"--and more voters too, likely.
