That said, more or less all of us on here have agreed that Trump's #1 goal is to be liked/respected. Ego being the biggest drive for his actions. You don't get that by ACTUALLY nuking someone. So he'll keep mentioning them because he has the biggest "button" and the biggest "nukes". Compensation, man.

He wants people to know he has the power to use a nuke. Not an actual desire to use one. One strokes his ego. The other would make the world think horribly of him (assuming it doesn't cause a chain of events to end the world). If you're dead, you can't make money. If the world ends, you can't make money. If there's nobody left, you can't be liked.

You hit the nail on the head.  He "talks tough" but would never actually do anything.  That's his whole life in a nutshell.

Not that anyone WANTS him to use nukes, just that I think him even TALKING about it makes him look weak and dumber (if that's possible) because we all know he won't do it.
