Here's the deal - if you are going to blow $14 million on a linebacker, you might as well spend another $3 million and get the best one on the market - which would have been Mosely last year.

I don't believe in paying an above average guy elite money. I wouldn't have touched Alexander for that money.

But, it does show how poor the Bengals are when it comes to free agency and spending money on "other guys' players." The money spent on Hart and Brown along with a little extra could very easily have gotten us one elite guy.
