Andy Dalton and the 2011 QB Draft Class

Based on the expectations and where they were chosen Dalton was obviously the better value.

Not saying he was a better overall QB because you have to take into account Cam's rushing yards, but he was definitely a better value.  And my guess is Dalton will be able to extend his career much better than Cam moving forward.  Father time is catching up with both and I'm sure that hurts Cam's game more than Dalton's because he relies so heavily on his legs.  Time will tell.

Yeah, Cam had some good years there, but it's hard to imagine that the Panthers don't wish they had grabbed Von Miller, Patrick Peterson, AJ Green, or Julio Jones instead (those were 4 of the next 5 picks).

I mean, of the 5 players taken after Cam, 3 are future HoFers and a 4th (AJ) had a decent chance before his health went into the tank the last two years.

If you expand that to the 10 picks after Cam, there's 5 future HoFers in that list. (Miller, Peterson, J Jones, Tyron Smith, and JJ Watt). That's gotta sting at least a little.
