A concomitant issue is that many of these judges have inferior or negative ABA ratings. That suggests they were selected, not to interpret the law with competence and impartiality, but to further a specific ideological agenda, a goal which requires only agreement with agenda, not competence or respect for rule of law.

Of course this is a Trump "accomplishment" only for those down with this anti-Constitutional agenda. Many "conservatives" see an achievement here, and sometimes argue (falsely) this is no different from what the Dems do when hey are in power, and (again falsely) that Democratic intransigence has forced them to these measures.

Yea, that was my interpretation as well. If my original post wasn't clear, I apologize. I was referring directly to McConnell stealing the SCOTUS nomination from Obama and packing the courts with young conservative judges after blocking Obama's attempts to fill them during his term (Donald had a quote about how did Obama leave so many vacant seats, as if he didn't know that was intentional.)
