Is the John Ross Experiment near its end
#47
Ross doesn't fit this offense.

We run a west coast offense with 4 and 5 wide sets. That system calls for precise route runners who can find the space, catch the ball in tight windows and who can make yards after the catch.
Ross is not a good route runner. He is not good catching in traffic. He is not an effort player (he gives up on way too many plays) and he does not even have particularly good hands.

His one big thing is amazing straight line speed and our Oline just does not allow for many deep passes to develop.

Tate would be exponentially more valuable to this offense for his ability to catch in traffic and make tight window catches.
