Like I said, the government usually does not waste resources killing people unless they get some benefit from it.
I agree with all of you guys who think that governments can be corrupt. I just don't automatically believe that every single thing the government does is pure evil. I usually look for some logic or motive to determine which actions are corrupt and which are not.
Silly me for actually taking the time to analyze the situation and consider all the angles. I have wasted a lot of brain power "thinking" when I could have just blindly assumed that every action by the government is motivated by pure evil.
