The right is absolutely filled with grifters and conmen who are just saying things they know their fans want to hear even if they don't agree with it or know it isn't true.

Just off the top of my head you have Alex "I'm just playing a character, please don't take my kids away" Jones, Tucker Carlson (who also used the "my viewers know not to take me seriously" defense) and Candace Owens, who was an outspoken liberal until she learned that being conservative and black was WAY more lucrative.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rush Limbaugh is the same way, but I wouldn't be surprised if he really was just as crazy as he seems as well, so he could go either way.
