Can empathize but, having attended games at franchise inception in Nippert, I take the Bengals for what they are worth; Entertainment.
I have had my fun with the franchise (Division titles, Conference Championships, Super Bowls, Freezer Bowl and lots of fun players) and will always hold an emotional interest in the team.
I have been blessed to see the Bengals play at a top level so it seems only fair (for me) to continue to support the team while they are (really) down. With apologies to Yoda, "The memories are strong with this one."
