While I understand your point, I think the extreme nature of Trump really does scare people. Hell, we nominated ***** Joe Biden because we were so afraid of Trump winning again. If he ran again in 2024, that just means we'd likely nominate a milquetoast nothing candidate rather than a progressive that could actually cause some positive change. 

Ultimately, Trump in 2024 would keep us in the limbo we've been in for what feels like decades at this point.
