I am not doubting that Lawrence is a great prospect, but when he isn't beating up on the ACC, he hasn't exactly set the world on fire.  As I stated BEFORE the game, Fields should be the 2nd QB taken and likely in the top 5, if not the top 3.

If I were Jacksonville, I would offer to swap picks with the Jets for their 2nd rounders in 2021 and 2022 and I would take Fields.  But that is just me.  

Success in college football is not a reliable projection to success in the NFL. There is definitely a correlation, but one does not predict the other.

Lawrence has all the physical and mental tools necessary to win in the NFL. Fields may as well, I'm not sure. That will be determined during the off season. But there are many who doubt his status as an elite NFL prospect.
