The Browns won't even be like that after this year, I feel.
They got Kareem Hunt on the cheap after he was released by the Chiefs. He signed for $6 mill APY.
Nick Chubb, who is the team's leading RB, is in the final year of his rookie contract. The Browns will have to pay him big money if they are going to keep him. He was 2nd in the league in rushing in 2019 and was 7th in 2020. The caveat with 2020 was he missed 4 games. He very likely would have been 3rd in 2020 if he had played the whole season.
Given Chubb's success, I would expect him to get more than $12 mill APY from some team in 2022.
