At what point are you OK with a total rebuild

Some people act like it is easy to re-build and replace a solid core of good players, but that is not true.  So I say we go as far as we can with what we have.  If I was sure we could draft another Geno Atkins or Carlos Dunlap then of course I would say trade them away and rebuild, but there are no guarantees.

This.  The age creep is easier to gauge and compensate for than draft picks and free agents.  And we will not be adequately compensated for the players we trade.

Build on our core until it's obvious that they are not able to play at a high level.  Then start your rebuild.
