Seattle was 16th on the year, and Mychal Kendricks only played 4 games last year while dealing with the whole insider trading thing. In games he played they averaged 20 less yards per game on the ground (which was in line with top 5 yards per game averages). Now add in the fact that last year Seattle played Base formation only 34% of the time on average compared to the 71% of the time we saw yesterday, you saw a team who was committed to stopping the run. 

Again, you don't run into heavy boxes just to prove a point. The Seahawks obviously still were respecting the run late as play action was effective in the 4th, so not sure what the issue here is.
