there was a movie back in the '90's called "Hurlyburly" about the crazy lifestyles of a group of people in the movie industry in Hollywood. It was not much of a hit, but I liked it a lot. It was almost all dialogue, but the characters were great.
This was back when Meg Ryan was a huge star playing the cute, innocent love interest in a series of romantic comedies, but in Hurlyburly she played a nasty prostitute. Very out-of-character for her.
