Completely agree and I think you rightly point out later that the Bengals have focused on getting solid players who make plays without placing excessive weight on highlight-reel plays.
HOWEVER, (sorry...venturing off topic a little... but you started it by mentioning Polamalu
) sometimes highlight-reel plays supersede everything else when it's against an opponent we despise... and you have to bring up Polamalu. For me, Peko's goal-line destruction of him kind of eliminates all my bad memories of when he hurt us.
