Trade Drury as soon as possible.

He's not going to morph at 30 into a slugger hitting 40 HR's and 120 RBI's. It's a flash in the pan. Farmer is 31 and is just a good backup, that's all. Now if they were 23 or 24 that would be different.

And nobody is going to trade for Moustakas ! He has like 17 HR's and 65 RBI's in the last 2 and 1/2 seasons with a BA of like .210. He's due 16,18, and 20 million $ over this season and next two years. You gonna pay that for a guy that struggles to stay on the field batting .210 with 10 HR's and 30 RBI's ?

The Votto thing we've been through a half dozen times. Nobody is gonna pay 25 million for his services.

Just want to say that I agree fully with you and Fred; trading him to a playoff team that needs help down the stretch is the 100% move to do.

But he isn't a career backup; he started 2 or 3 years at 3B for the Dbacks and had starter PT with us for a year or two, despite being a Utility guy.
