What's with all the Twitter boycotts?
#21
Musk fires his sales managers and account executives making it difficult if not impossible to get ahold of someone about their advertising accounts and Elon wonders why advertisers drop off.

Musk retweets false information about Paul Pelosi then deletes it without an apology. He tweets out racist memes, he claims free speech and regularly blocks people who criticize him and he wonders why other companies want to distance themselves from him.

Do major corporations with name-brand mainstream products want their ads showing up next to a tweet by Alex Jones or Nick Fuentes? Probably not

There are many many ways companies can choose to spend their advertising dollars. Distancing themselves from Twitter, a company whose platform can fail at any moment run by an out-of-control megalomaniac is easily a business decision.
