Yeah. I've tried a couple of those clear coat compounds. I find that the compound is unnecessary and it's actually the thing that causes your HL to look bad quicker again. 

Kind of like they know that, so they put that shit in the kit so that you have to come back and buy another in a couple years and do it all over again. I just went out and looked at my Avenger. I did those 3 years ago and haven't touched them since. There is a light, uneven build up of oxidation that would prob take me 15 mins per light to clean up and get looking new again. Something that i'll do when it warms up again. I did not use any kind of clear coat on it.
