You could buy some chicken, tuna, veggies, potatoes, rice, and some fresh fruit really cheap.

Going off my local store (not a Kroger) and their usually prices: Pineapple $4, raspberries $5, grapes $4(x2), nuts $1, drink $2. So that's $20(ish) here. Kentucky doesn't have a food tax (yet).

So, that seems inflated.
