Tbh, I still don't think it was a good deal. We're paying that dude $7.5 million this year, which is frankly ridiculous. I just think some people calmed down once they saw the total figure was $16 million, not $21 million. It was still a bad deal though.
Btw, you're focusing on ONE THING about free agency. Pretty sure Pistons was talking about his overall outlook and how we didn't really add anyone of note. And most would agree with that now. So Pistons wasn't wrong.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
