We basically added one player to one of the bottom defenses in the league and we just automatically think they will improve under a first year head coach and first year defensive coordinator? I call these thoughts being a realist and not a pessimist. It is going to take more than one season to turn this defense around but we need to get started at some point.
To be fair:
1) They added two LBs, not one.
2) People seem to be pretty excited about the 2 RBs they picked in the sixth round. Bengals seemingly got pretty good value there.
