I get what you are saying. But Reds need a difference maker and Betts is just that.
And if you do sign him you may still be able to add a couple of mediocre relievers but you’ll have to ignore a 5th starter, closer, SS, catcher anD LF upgrades for the next 5 years. The dude better be Superman each year or it’s last place and probably 3rd place if he’s all that’s added to the current roster. I’m not saying that I’m right, just my 2 cents.
