Just my interpretation, but I think people get frustrated from things like this whether it's from Elizabeth Blackburn or Geoff Hobson.
Yes, they aren't the ones who can control things that the team is doing from an operational standpoint.
And most fans are frustrated that the team hasn't had a winning season in 5 years. Talking about the vision or really anything positive doesn't really carry much weight until it results in the team winning.

Basically like, "That sounds great and all, but when will it result in the team getting back to and advancing in the playoffs?"
