The guy from 1960, that is an AFL record.  He played for the Oilers.  

That's why they don't care about the record.  It is AFL. 

My understanding is the NFL absorbed all records in the merger.  It's still an NFL record.  The Jefferson record Chase broke was labeled as a Super Bowl Era record.
