I was 12 when it came out. The first time I heard it was in the movie "The Dead Pool", the 2nd time was at Riverfront....which they had just started calling The Jungle I think. It was my first NFL game too. Perfect fit for this team. 

Exactly. I think the song (and most of GnR's stuff) has aged incredibly well. They weren't a hair group. Their music was much edgier than that, and it still slaps. I don't listen to Guns or that song very often, but when I do it still gives me chills. That's when you know it's a banger.

Right on. Since when do we have to replace songs? Great songs are timeless.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.
