God know why Fox News did agree to pay almost 1 billion and admin they lied but their viewers are going to take any BS Tucker will find. 

I've learned there are two types of cons.

#1 - you get taken for a little and/or catch the conman in the lie, you learn your lesson and you walk away.

#2 - you get taken for a little and/or catch the conman in the lie, you convince yourself it's all worth it or it'll pay off in the end and you end up going all-in and getting taken for even more.


Fox News has admitted to lying.  They've been caught, and this is where people are going to double-down and go all-in on them.  That's a key aspect of any con or problematic relationship.  You see who they are and you accept it, and then you're in for good.  Nigerian scammers do this all the time where they intentionally slip up or have scam pitches that are obviously untrue and ridiculous because they really want the type of mark who accepts their story and what they say rather than believing their own eyes or the pleas of their loved ones.

Only when you can present someone with an off-ramp and they refuse to take it it have you truly gotten a hold of someone.


tl;dr - Fox is only settling because they're innocent
