It's weird that Fox News would settle and basically admit they peddle lies. If only their viewers were self aware enough to let that actually matter.

They did it because the evidence was so astounding and overwhelming and the fact that all their big revenue makers were going to have to go on the stand and defend their lies and contradictions from their own emails and texts, would have been all far more damaging.

Bottom line - you can't call yourself NEWS and lie without consequence.
