That's a decision Holic and his wife have made.

No one wants to let their pet go...but the owner needs to decide when it's time.

If they don't feel it's time yet, then that's up to them.

My wife and I found out one of our dogs in January 2022 (two days after the Bengals beat the Titans in the playoffs actually) had carcinoma cancer.
The vet said it wasn't curable or removable, but we could try some different chemo options to try to prolong my dog's life.
The chemo's goal was to slow the growth as much as possible, as there was no way to remove it.
Had we not tried, the vet's prognosis was probably just a few weeks to live.
We made the decision to try the chemo route, and it prolonged his life by just over 6 months, but it was not cheap.

At the end of it all, my wife and I felt we made the right decision, as my dog was able to act normal for pretty much every remaining day he had and he got to live (much) longer than had we not made that decision. If you try to equate that 6 months to dog years, he essentially got another 3-4 years of life.
