Both those young guys are probably trying new pitches / approaches while it doesn't count so I'm not going to worry much. As for Montas, good for him. From everything I've heard and read on him thus far, he has worked his tail off to be ready and is already taking on that vet-in-the-rotation role, teaching guys his cutter. He knows you gotta induce GBs and minimize fly balls as much as possible in this league (especially so at GABP) to be effective and he has one of the deadliest cutters in the game. I hope our young guys take note!
Wonder how Greene feels about that ? I didn't realize it but Abbott has been getting rocked as well. It's still way early for sure but one eyebrow is halfway up on those two.
