Joseph Ossai

Hilton was awful, Vonn Bell was MIA, Pratt missed a huge tackle, couldnt punt worth shit, not enough pressure on Pat, dumb penalties, blind refs..... so many aspects to that game.

This.... Ossai was the final nail, but we just didn't get it done from top to bottom.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Huge respect to BJ for having Ossai's back during a tough interview for the kid.

Zac Taylor praises in public and criticizes in private. That’s the way to be.

Germaine Pratt was acting from his raw emotions; I can’t blame him either.

Feel for him and think he was one of the reasons the Bengals were still in the game anyway.

that is how I felt about Burfict and Steelers, he had a great game until the personal foul... but he should have learned by then... hopefully this is a learning lesson for Ossai but in the end it was a major blow to us at least going into OT

These misses were egregious, obvious blocks in the back on the final punt return...

Refs had a really bad fourth quarter.

And yet we were on the way to winning despite them.   I believe that's the kind of team we are and will be.

Can't wait to see what they do over the off season

Ossai will be part of the Bengals future. Pratt likely will not. Ossai played his ass off all day and made a very untimely mistake. His value to the team is still quite high as a young, cheap, talented pass rusher. I'm not worried about him and I doubt the staff is, either.

Dax Hill and his boneheaded penalties? That's another story.

Former coach Paul Alexander aka Piano Man in a now-deleted tweet compared that play to the 2016 playoff game and said if the team has learned anything they should immediately cut Joseph. He was attacked by everybody for that take. In no way shape or form was Joseph's mistake anything near the selfish, boneheaded, moronic, out-of-control behavior of Vonteze and Pacman

BJ Hill was like a mama bear protecting the cub. This is what team leadership looks like. THIS is what I prefer to remember from last night

Ossai did pull a Jeremy Hill and cost the Bengals their last chance at OT.
Stupid play after playing a great game.
Still wouldn’t give up on him and he will have to take the deserved criticism and come back stronger.

I'm sure Pratt and Ossai will have a conversation.

Pratt won't be back, I suspect money will be his #1 factor and he's not worth what he's going to get from someone.

Well call me a softy but Ossia breaking down for all of us at the end of the game was enough to give him the pass. A lot of other things happened and we had plenty of shots to win the game and didn't. Players care, and it's good (albeit sad) to see.

We are just going to have to circle the wagon around the team in the face of the celebrations of their defeat by those who wanted to see them humbled. I'm not going to pile on. Unlike teams of the past, you know they feel our pain.

BJ Hill is freaking amazing. Liked him a lot for his play on the field but that video is simply amazing. That is a teammate and that is awesome.

Good on BJ Hill... I cussed Ossai when it happened, but I'm just a passionate moron fan.

Joseph Ossai is gonna learn from it, and bounce back. This isn't a no control Burfict/ Pacman situation.

“Playoff P” turned into a playoff D. I was plenty mad at Ossai in the moment, but man that was a bad look to do to your teammate. Taylor was walking away in the hallway video, and I kind of wish he would have told Pratt to STFU. I think everyone involved knows him and Bates are as good as gone though.

Right there with you Bilbo. Dude played great all game with consistent pressure against a damn good OL.

Been the biggest Ossai guy from the beginning and he showed yesterday why, the bad play speaks for itself and he knows it.

Shouldn't just take away from his great play the rest of the game but that is the way it goes. The biggest moments.

High hopes for Joseph Ossai. This guy could be one of the best pass rushers in the NFL. Rock On

This is really Ossai's first season, as he was out all last year.
He had a respectable 3.5 sacks in the regular season and made some impactful plays throughout the playoffs as a rotational player to show he's growing.
He made a boneheaded mistake, just like Dax Hill did at times this year.
That happens with inexperience.

Personally, I'm looking forward to see how he does in Year 3 next year, which is most players' year to really take the leap.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Patience has paid off!

Vontaze Burfict got no credit for a 6 tackle, 2 TFL, 1 sack, 1 FF, and 1 PD game because he made a bonehead play at the end of a playoff game

Jeremy Hill because Public Enemy#1 for trying to gain a few extra yards at the end of a playoff game

But we run to the defense of Ossai and his 5 tackle, 1 TFL, 1 PD game.

I think it shows the fanbase is maturing.
