Anyone Else Having Bad Storms?
#1
They're not that bad here yet, but there's videos of students down at UK getting blown over.

Here, you can hear the winds at times and all the schools got out around noonish.

IMCO, Northern Kentucky is too hilly for there to ever be a tornado, and it's calm right now but supposed to pick back up.

Anyone else having bad weather?

All of the local county government offices in this region (or at least all of the ones that my firm interacts with regularly) have sent their employees home for the day. Schools let out early, etc. Hasn't really started here, but the sky is looking quite ominous.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

It's cloudy here but they're not dark or anything. Traffic looks pretty normal for this time of day.

Rain is supposed to start at three and I'm guessing that's when winds will pick back up.

I think most of it is over here in Cincinnati/NKY.  The worst seemed to be the storms this morning.  As usual the news was all about expect EF 5 tornadoes and biblical flooding, you are all doomed.

Weather radar is not looking too bad:

Sun is out right now.  Still some chance for more storms this evening I guess as the cold front moves in.

I read some places in KY did have some storms that caused damage this morning so Gov. Beshear declared a state of emergency.  I hope people in those areas are okay.

Quote:There have been reports of damage to property, and thousands of people are without power.

“We have reports of substantial damage to a number of structures – and thankfully, as of right now, we are not aware of any fatalities,” Governor Beshear said. “We need all Kentuckians to stay weather aware as we brace for more severe weather throughout the afternoon and evening.”

Yeah. Weather app now says between 35%-45% chance of rain until nine when it was around 100% chance (I think).

I typed that a while ago and forgot to hit enter and now it says 50% again with 16(?) mph winds.

How does it look in your part of NKY?

There is thunder here in Kettering but we’ve only seen only a few raindrops so far.
