Big Ten Wrestling
#1
Anyone out there following Big Ten wrestling?

Looks like Penn State is kicking everyone's ass at the moment,
with 5 #1 ranked wrestlers and returning 3X national champs Starocci (174) and Brooks (197) looking to join the elite 4-timers club.

This weekend its Penn State (#1, 10-0) vs Nebraska (#2, 11-1)

and Ohio State (#2, 14-2) vs Michigan State (#10, 9-5).

(Rankings refer to Big 10, but PSU is also #1 nationally.)

I don't follow closely, but I do tune in from time to time when I notice them on BiG Network. Yes, Penn St. is at the top of the stack this year, quite formidable.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Yeah, incredible depth too. Two of their second stringers stepped in last week against Rutgers and beat ranked wrestlers. Not only that, each one wrestled up a weight: 165 to 174 and 197 to 285.

PSU wrestles Nebraska on Sunday, also a tough team. They stomped Michigan 25-7 last week, and are ranked #5 nationally.

Nice preview on the PSU team site
